Visit Sukuh and Cetho Temples on this full day small group tour from Yogyakarta. Sukuh and Cetho temples are the most recent temples built in Central Java. They were built by the last Hindu King before the conversion to Islam. Brawijaya V was the last Hindu King who retreated to the foot of Mount Lawu and built these two temples. The unique location and ornaments leads you to query the hidden story and history of the temples.

Your day will begin at 6:30am when you get picked up in an air conditioned minivan from your Yogyakarta hotel and taken on your journey to Solo City.

It will take 1.5 hours to reach Radya Pustaka Museum. This is a Museum which has ancient antique collections which reveals the story and history of Java Island.

Following on from Radya Pustaka Museum, your driver will take you to Mangkunegaran Palace which is part of Java kingdom’s history. Mangkunegaran Palace has great art and antique collections.

After the Mangkunegaran Palace visit, you will explore Triwindu antique market. You will then stop at a local restaurant for lunch.  Please note lunch is not included in the tour price.

You will then be driven to Sukuh Temples. Sukuh temple has strange and unique statues including Yoni and Lingga which are dedicated to the goddess of fertility.  

Lastly you will head to Cetho Temple which is believed to be home for the last Hindu King 'Brawijaya the fifth' who died because he was killed by Muslim soldiers.

After exploring the temples, you will be driven back to Yogyakarta at 4.00 pm and will be back at your accommodation at 07.30 pm.

Day 1: Arrival Solo
Upon arrival at Adi Sumarmo International Airport, meet and greet with your guide. Transfer to your hotel at Solo. Dinner served at the hotel, and enjoy evening at leisure.

Day 2: Solo –  Prambanan Temple –  Yogyakarta
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to the foot of Mount Lawu. Explore the Cetho Temple; six tiers of ornate stone towers, shrines and stupas laid out in intricate geometric formations. Drive back to Berjo Village, enjoy the monument of Sukuh Temple. Back to Solo, and continue to Prambanan. Enjoy lunch at local restaurant, uncover the ancient Ramayana reliefs of the Syiwa and Brahma at Prambanan Temple Complex. Proceed to see Plaosan Temple. Drive to hotel for overnight accommodation. Check in and dinner at a traditional house-restaurant.

Day 3: Yogyakarta City Tour – Candirejo Village – Borobudur Sunset
Breakfast at hotel. Begin your excursion to The Kraton. Continue explore Taman Sari - built especially for the Royal Family. Lunch at a local restaurant, continue drive to Candirejo Village. Proceed to Borobudur Temple and back to your hotel.

Day 1: Arrival Solo
Upon your afternoon arrival at either Adisumarmo Airport in Solo from Jakarta or by chaffeured vehicle from Jogjakarta, you will be transferred directly to Kauman batik village. Afterwards, proceed to House of Danar Hadi, which you will get to see the very finest batik prints. Dinner at a javanese cuisine and then transfer to hotel for check-in.

Day 2: Solo – Karanganyar – Solo
Breakfast at the hotel. At 0700hrs, embark on a full day excursion starting with a 90-minute scenic drive to Kemuning Tea Plantation passing various plantations. Stroll around the tea plantation and then proceed uphill by car to arrive at Candi Cetho complex located in Gumeng village. Another temple to visit is Candi Sukuh and then lunch at a local javanese cuisine. Next, drive back to the city towards Jumog Waterfall where you can enjoy the cool air and take some stunning photographs in front of the cascading river. Arrive back at the hotel in the late afternoon and be pampered with a spa treatment at the hotel.
